Just another day on the hunt: emails and resumes and phone calls and Google search and grad school applications and so on and so on. Sitting at our dining room table, bogged down with worry and a broken spirit, I heard a voice inside my head say, You’re gonna dance again one day, soon. And just the thought of me dancing around our living room so excited that I had finally landed a stable job made me wanna go ahead and twirl to my heart’s delight. So, I stood-up, pushed in my chair, threw on “Girl Named Tennessee” by Needtobreathe, and, as Chris Brown would say, “leggo”. And don’t worry, hands in my hair action included (if you know me well, then you know this is a staple dance move of mine).
I constantly have to remind myself to not take myself too seriously. There is a really good ending to this story already written down somewhere—I need not worry.
