Spending Christmas in Kate’s hometown (Kansas City), I thought I would post a few of my favorite things from her holiday collection. She’s such a dear.

My longest time friend is getting married! So great! It feels like yesterday that Di, Ashley and I were dreaming about our first kisses. Yeah, we used to do that. Kind of embarrassing.

Touchdown in my summer city, and immediately relief seeps into my skin.
Home.
Mom was waiting just outside baggage claim when I arrived. Throwing my suitcase in the back seat, I jumped in the car and kicked the snow off my Tory Burch flats.
“I’m so happy to be here!” I told her. And I was. I love Kansas City.
We drove home, where more snow awaited me on our slippery driveway....
a letter, to me from me
Today I received a letter in the mail…from myself. I had written this past summer on the way home from camp. Everyone on the bus was encouraged to write about what they learned in the past week at Frontier Ranch, and what they wanted to be reminded of in six months time. And this week the Young Life office mailed out all those letters. I’m excited to hear about what my sweet girls felt...
love story
Yesterday I met a friend for brunch at a local bakery. I was early, so I sat at a table and admired the strangers around me. One couple sat outside on the patio. It must have about 35 degrees, but they were huddled next to a small bonfire. In hats, gloves, coats and scarves, they shared the warmth of each other’s arms.
It made me think: what’s their story?
