Gone
to Raleigh for the day!
happy birthday old man
Just over 10 years ago, my dad was very sick with bladder cancer. I don’t remember much about that time because my family kept me mostly in the dark. Granted, I was only 11—there wasn’t a whole lot I could have understood about an invisible monster trying to steal my father. But still, I knew things weren’t normal. He was always tired and mostly depressed.
Eventually, he...
"Wake up!" He said. "It's going to be a big day!"
I’m so thankful for my Young Life team! Last night after our leadership meeting, we stood in a circle, arms locked around one another’s shoulders. Colton said, “Tomorrow is going to be a celebration.”
He’s right. Tonight (yes, tonight!) Colton will stand up in front of our many high school friends and speak about the greatest battle that was ever fought, and won. We...
starlight, starbright, all i want is you tonight

The boys even signed it with their feet. This will be a good story one day. But for now, I’ll need you to paint it back before our landlord sees it. Thanks! —Feeds
incurable girl
Just the other day, as I ventured home from south Georgia with a car full of my best friends, we began talking about the inevitable broken record in all of our lives—boys. We spilled about our fear to love, and the redeemed stories of our broken hearts. A few girls talked about their impatience while others spoke about their disinterest. And some, including myself, admitted to...
promise i'm not making this up!
So, this past Thursday I received one of the more interesting phone calls of my life. Justin, a dear friend from camp, called to let me know that his friend, a rep for the Rascal Flatts, gave him two tickets, FRONT ROW, to the Country Music Awards next week in Nashville. Oh and, would I like to be his date? Um, hmm…YES!!!
Brad Paisely and Carrie Underwood are hosting! And so many amazing...
